Our Commitment to Sustainability

For us, sustainability is first and foremost a matter of governance. We apply it to the way we organise the Firm and incorporate it into our advice to clients.

• Environment

  We help reduce the environmental impact of our operations through digital document and case-file management, remote collaboration tools in place of unnecessary travel, reduced plastic consumption, the choice of environmentally sustainable products, and responsible use of energy and materials.

• People and Community

  We promote a working environment based on merit, pay equity, gender equality and work–life balance, with due regard for the wellbeing and physical and mental health of everyone at the Firm. We invest in the training of young professionals, including through teaching and academic activities, and support culture by displaying works by contemporary artists at our offices.

• Governance

  We operate according to principles of independence, confidentiality and the prevention of conflicts of interest. Clear internal rules govern the Firm’s organisation and the acceptance and management of instructions, in accordance with our Code of Ethics and the rules governing the legal profession.
